12th October 2008
Sunday 12th October saw a new running event in London – the Royal Parks Foundation Half Marathon supported by Brakes. The run started at Hyde Park with 12,500 runners weaving their way through the streets of London through Green Park, St. James Park and on to Temple before heading back to Hyde Park. Six runners from Country Choice took part and completed the course with an average run of 2 hours.
Brakes were the main sponsors and organised a Food and Fitness Village where runners and spectators were able to hang around during the course of the day. Country Choice were also serving savoury pastries from their food counter and raised just under £900 for the Bromley School for children with special needs.
