Product Management System and Traceability
Our Product Management System provides our Technical and Product Development departments with up-to-date details on all Country Choice products. This system enables faster ‘incident management’ in the event of any issues with products or production batches.
Every outer case carries 'traceability codes' that are recorded on our central IT system. This allows us to identify, isolate and quarantine specific batches of stock across our network and, if required, take appropriate action whilst maintaining continuity of supply to customers in all but the most serious situations.

Food Information to Consumers
The Food Information to Consumers (FIC) regulations 2014 relate to the provision of allergen information for pre-packed and ‘loose’ foods.
Allergy Warning Notice
Some products carry the requirement to display a ‘May Contain Statement’ to communicate allergens.
Food Safety System
To support your food system a wide range of ‘control sheets’ are available for customers to download, including temperature control, production planning, shelf life monitoring and more.
Protected Geographical Indication
Just like Champagne, the Cornish pasty enjoys protected or “PGI” status under EU Protected Food Names legislation.
This means only a pasty made to a specific recipe in Cornwall can be called a “Cornish Pasty”.
Cornish pasties are “D” shaped and crimped on the side (never on top) and contain potato, swede, onion and beef, plus seasoning to taste.
That’s why our Steak Cornish pasties have the seal of approval from the Cornish Pasty Association. A great selling point with your customers.
