Seasonal Success!

Seasonal events can prove to be hugely lucrative, and Christmas 2021 is expected to be a bumper year! IGD suggest that 27% of shoppers say they expect Christmas 2021 to be bigger than normal, with this figure rising to 50% within 18–24-year-olds. This offers the perfect opportunity to capture seasonal sales. What’s more, the potential for renewed restrictions brings about the possibility of an increase in footfall within convenience stores, as seen in the first lockdown in March 2020, so make sure you’re ready.
Top tips for capturing seasonal sales this Winter:
- Availability- shoppers will be looking for seasonal lines from early November so make sure availability is high and products are placed in a prominent location
- Merchandising- use off-shelf display units and place in areas of high footfall. Our floor standing display units come with interchangeable Christmas headers which capture shopper attention
- Products- ensure you have a balanced range to suit all ages of shopper. Also, quality is really important so make sure you’re confident in the quality of the products you sell
- Packaging & POS- make use of branded packaging and free of charge point of sale to engage shoppers in the fixture
- Increase basket spend- link deals, positioning near the till point or simply upselling to customers will drive incremental sales and increase basket spend
Make sure to speak to your Regional Sales Executive about how to introduce or expand your seasonal range.
